Daniel Orama is the Founder/Vocal Instructor of THE SCHOOL OF SINGING located in Nassau County Long Island. His students study the Art of Singing; perform throughout Long Island, land lead roles, and are accepted to prestigious music colleges. Daniel holds a B.A. with Empire State College and is currently completing his M.M. with Five Towns College. He is highly sought after as a voice instructor in the art of singing because of his passion and commitment to the art, and commitment to his students. Daniel studied and worked with Mark Pearson former Vocal Pedagogy Chairman at the New England Conservatory, Robert White Jr. Julliard faculty, Metropolitan tenors Stanford Olsen FSU faculty, and Dan Marek faculty at Mannes Conservatory. Additional studies and work with Greg Mercer (Voice professor at Hofstra and Assistant Conductor of St. Patrick’s Cathedral), Merideth Baker (LI Choral Society Director and conductor) and Terry Champlagne (Guitar Professor at Mannes). In addition, Daniel has studied with Dr. Scott McCoy graduate director at Westminster Choir College and studies with vocal coach Kelley Horsted and voice professor Audra Moricca at Five Towns College.
THEATRE:
Daniel is the Artistic Director of THE SCHOOL OF SINGING, and part Producer of Godspell’s Broadway Revival. Daniel consults with Broadway/Off Broadway Producer Ken Davenport producer of Godspell, Oleanna starring Bill Pullman and Julia Stiles, Speed-the-Plow starring Raul Esparza, Will Ferrell’s You’re Welcome America, Blithe Spirit starring Angela Lansbury, and 13, the musical. Daniel has appeared in numerous roles in opera and musical theater such as “La Boheme”, “Don Giovanni”, and “Pirates of Penzance” where he performed with Richard Conrad of Boston Opera who sang with the late great Dame Joan Sutherland. He performed with Orchard Opera of Rhode Island and Coconut Playhouse in “Romanza” as Harlequin among many other works.

Tami Orama Co-Founder/ Voice Instructor
B.M. at UCONN
Tami has been singing and performing ever since she was 5 years old and continued crafting her passion through college as she majored in voice and education. She specializes in teaching children up to age 12. She studied with Dr. Virginia Pyle former vocal director at the University of Connecticut, soprano Dr. Martha Smith, Dr. Robert White Jr., faculty of the Julliard School and Mark Pearson former vocal pedagogy chairman at the New England Conservatory. Tami has professionally recorded two CD Projects with Daniel and has appeared in numerous Theatre roles such as Dorthy in “The Wizard of Oz”, Heidi in “Heidi” etc…, and performed in opera such as The Tales of Hoffman, Marriage of Figaro, We Will Dance Musical Revue and many more. Tami’s passion is to perform and teach vocal instruction.
Naomi Smith / Vocal Assistant
Naomi is serving as Tami Orama’s assistant for the Voice Kids classes. She is currently a senior at Grace Christian Academy and in preparations for her upcoming vocal performance auditions at Nyack and Five Towns College. She has a beautiful voice with amazing stage presence. She is currently in rehearsals in the lead roles of Esther in “Esther the Musical” with Greater Works Productions and “Cinderella” in the role of Cinderella at Grace Christian Academy. In addition, other role credits include Helena in “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” Mayzie the Bird in “Seussical the Musical,” and Annie in “Annie.”
Naomi is fun, loving, and a has great attitude toward life. The children love her and are always excited to see and spend time with her in voice class. We look forward to seeing Naomi’s continued success in her upcoming college studies and her role at The School Of Singing.
